The booth also didn’t call it in for targeting. Notre Dame fans went bananas. That is HORRIFIC. The amount of kids we’ve lost to suspect targeting calls and THAT doesn’t get called is a flat out joke.— Mike Golic Jr (@MGolicJR57) September 5, 2016Wait…how is THAT not targeting?— Pam Chvotkin (@reddusfoximus) September 5, 2016That is Targeting… These refs are going to have some explaining to do— Chase Hounshell (@chasehounshell) September 5, 2016Targeting, as defined by the NCAA rule book. pic.twitter.com/ldIvoWovjC— Tom Fornelli (@TomFornelli) September 5, 2016Officials even had all that extra time during injury to look at it. How they didn’t call that targeting is inexplicable— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) September 5, 2016Did anyone tell the replay booth they’re allowed to call targeting now? Seems like kind of a missed opportunity.— Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) September 5, 2016No review for targeting followed by a blocked field goal. Yeah, we might be talking about that Monday.— Brian Hamilton (@BrianHamiltonSI) September 5, 2016Hunter’s parents left the stands to be by his side in the locker room. It’s safe to say that the school is going to put him through concussion protocol at the very least. What do you think? Did Elliott get away with it? Or is everyone overreacting?last_img
